Crysis Warhead vs Unreal Tournament
Crysis Warhead
Crysis Warhead is somewhat like a spin-off mainly because it doesn't really continue the plotline in the main Crysis franchise. Instead, I'd venture as far to say that this game might be a prequel to the original Crysis... maybe? Anyway, in this game, you play as Sergeant Sykes who find hismelf on a life-risking mission to retrieve a cargo that's incredibly important behind enemy lines during the Korean war. The gameplay in this game is amazing visceral and intuitive, and of course, between the suit's abilities and the wide range of weapons, you'll have multiple methods to take out your enemies and walk away smiling. There are also aliens of course - it's just Crysis being Crysis - but the enemy AI is a whole lot more intelligent and may just catch you off guard if you're not careful.
As great as Crysis Warhead is, the game can be a tad bit short for its full price. However, if you can get it during a promotion, the game will be very well worth the experience, the time and the price.
Unreal Tournament
Unreal Tournament by Epic Games is not the 1999, old-school version by the way - it is a brand-new, work-in-progress version that can support up to 4k resolution. This newer version of Unreal Tournament also added several new dodge styles to the frantic jumping and sprinting gameplay that all Unreal games are famous for. However, despite its brilliant new graphics and gameplay tweaks, the game retains the core of what made Unreal Tournament incredibly popular back in the day - all its intense fragging, maze-like maps, power-ups and most importantly, a community of friendly yet competitive players to play the game with.Although Unreal Tournament has been under development for quite some time now (since 2014), it's interesting to note that Epic Games lets players enjoy the game as it is being developed and they really take fans' feedback and suggestions into consideration. So, despite technically being an unfinished game, Unreal Tournament is already operational... meaning you can now play it... and best yet, it's free-to-play.
So, if you longed for a modernized and improved version of Unreal Tournament, this is the game to play.
