Dragomon Hunter vs Zenonia S: Rifts in Time
Dragomon Hunter
Dragomon Hunter is a Pokemon-like, anime-inspired MMORPG where you'll set off on an exciting journey of a lifetime to hunt, defeat (through exciting action-based combat) and collect as many dragomons as you can find in the beautiful world of Wyveria. Being an RPG, the game has plenty of quests for you to complete as well as a nicely-designed character progression system where every level up, and skill or equipment upgrades make a significant difference in enhancing your gameplay.Interestingly, you are also accompanied by a Hoppalong who will not only aid you in combat be it as a tank, a heal or a DPS; you can customize and level them up too. There are even thrilling missions to embark on just so you can farm for dropped mounts (you can get a mount from every creature you encounter in Wyveria) or crafting formulas, as well as professions to pick up.
Dragomon Hunter is a game that capitalizes on the fact that players often have this irresistable urge to "collect 'em all". With so many dragomons to collect, you'll find yourself replaying missions just to complete your collection or to get that rare mount that hardly anyone on your server has. This is definitely the sort of game that will appeal to players who enjoy Pokemon or any collection-focused games.
Zenonia S: Rifts in Time
Zenonia S: Rifts in Time is an anime-inspired MMORPG title - the first of its kind - within the Zenonia game series. Apparently, Gamevil has given up adding numbers to their single-player Zenonia series and have created something of a spin-off MMO. Regardless of the major shift from single to multiplayer, the game still retains the charm that has rocketed the series to fame in the first place - it's Legend of Zelda-like experience albeit in a more anime format.Being an MMO now, the game provids players with an online hub of sorts - a virtual town - to interact with each other and with various helpful NPCs including quest givers and PvP arena ringmasters. The game also features the usual hack-and-slash combat system, many character classes and pretty graphics.
Although it's nice that the game's now a multiplayer game, we feel like the game has not really made the most of its multiplayer function and had restricted itself in terms of the features that are available. Not to mention, having a great storyline has never been this series' storng suit and this weakness is very evident in this game.
All in all though, if you've always wanted to try an MMO version of Zenonia, this game definitely fit the bill in spite of some of its downsides. After all, it's a free game. So, download it today on your mobile devices and give it a try!
