God of War vs Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

God of War

God of War is a Playstation-exclusive game that casts you into the shoes of Kratos once again. However, this time, after taking his vengeance against the Gods of Olympus, he was given a second chance at fatherhood and that can be quite a tall task especially when the world has gradually become even harsher and unforgiving. With his son Atreus by his side, Kratos will need to teach the young boy all that he will need to know to survive while controlling the rage that had the better of him more times than he could count in the past. Like the previous, this game has a massive and gorgeous open world for you to explore and a thrillingly-visceral close-quarter combat system to do battle with. It features a ton of familiar and new Nordic creatures, some of which are mythical and legendary; and a rewarding progression system which will see the skills of both Kratos and Atreus increase noticeably over time.

God of War ensures its players a gritty and grueling, yet somewhat heartwarming gaming experience where you'll get to not only mentor a young boy in the intricate art of war, but also to help Kratos rediscover his fatherly side through the game's powerful storyline. This PS4 game is slated to be released early 2018.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is an amazing action-based RPG which we frankly think was one of those RPG gems that were somehow overlooked. Even with its age in mind, the game still does well to cater to fans of RPGs today, giving them a memorable storyline based on a universe created by none other than the legend in fantasy novels, R.A. Salvatore; a host of interesting characters to interact with, and a massive open world to explore. Character customization is pretty extensive here, allowing you to change your character's class, skills and abilities to fit your play style. You can change your character's equipment as well.

The amazing part about this game, aside from its immersive storyline and world, is how seemlessly it has managed to integrate magic-wielding with swordplay (it doesn't exactly have to be swords though) in its exhilarting action combat. It does make you feel like you are in the shoes of your character.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning may not be a "Skyrim"-sort of game, but it's incredibly in-depth, able to offer you hundreds of hours of play time at the very least, especially if you are determined to complete every side quest and explore every corner of the beautiful world. It's definitely worth every cent you spent on it!
