Angry Birds Match adds a different twist to the usual slingshot-based gameplay that the Angry Birds franchise is incredibly renowned for. In this brand-new spin-off, Rovio delivers a whole new match-3 adventure where you'll not only need to organize the Hatchlings' party but also to protect it from the mischievous pigs. Mix and match up tons of cakes and party decor to solve the many and varied puzzle levels available. You can also bring out the big boys a.k.a. the Angry Birds like Red, Chuck, and Bomb with a match-4, and use explosive Boosters to clear the toughest levels. The best part of this game though, aside from the fact that you can play this game completely offline, is definitely the crazy-cute Hatchlings that you can collect. You can even visit them and put on the new outfits you've unlocked!Angry Birds Match may have done a complete 360 on the iconic gameplay that had made the franchise famous, but this isn't exactly their first attempt at doing so - There's an Angry Birds-themed racing game called Angry Birds Go! after all. That being said, this new game does help Rovio experiment with various other game genres just to see which new field they can expand the franchise into... and apparently, the casual match-3 genre is a pretty good bet.
Matchington Mansion
Matchington Mansion is one of the few rare casual games where you can not only enjoy fun games of match-3 complete with exciting power-ups, amazing boosters, and challenging obstacles, but also decorate your beautiful home in the process. However, unlike any somewhat similar games, you won't be earning "money" to pay for all of the new furniture. Instead, you'll be actually designing new decor and furniture by matching candies. There are tons of room designs, DIY decorations and even hidden rooms for you to unlock!Of course, interior decorating has never been trickier especially when you have a mischievous cousin who seems hellbent on messing everything up. There are plenty of other features that help to elevate Matchington Mansion from among the crowd of other match-3 games, such as interesting characters to meet and interact with. Most furniture in the game has mysterious secrets for you to discover as well. If you love having a pet around, you can get one in this game too!
Matchington Mansion managed to engage a host of players right from the get-go, because despite being simply a "match-3 game", this game is innovative enough to introduce plenty of exciting new features.
