Angry Birds Match adds a different twist to the usual slingshot-based gameplay that the Angry Birds franchise is incredibly renowned for. In this brand-new spin-off, Rovio delivers a whole new match-3 adventure where you'll not only need to organize the Hatchlings' party but also to protect it from the mischievous pigs. Mix and match up tons of cakes and party decor to solve the many and varied puzzle levels available. You can also bring out the big boys a.k.a. the Angry Birds like Red, Chuck, and Bomb with a match-4, and use explosive Boosters to clear the toughest levels. The best part of this game though, aside from the fact that you can play this game completely offline, is definitely the crazy-cute Hatchlings that you can collect. You can even visit them and put on the new outfits you've unlocked!Angry Birds Match may have done a complete 360 on the iconic gameplay that had made the franchise famous, but this isn't exactly their first attempt at doing so - There's an Angry Birds-themed racing game called Angry Birds Go! after all. That being said, this new game does help Rovio experiment with various other game genres just to see which new field they can expand the franchise into... and apparently, the casual match-3 genre is a pretty good bet.
Water Splash
Water Splash is a fun and colorful match-3 puzzle adventure game developed and published by Cookapps. In this game, you'll be matching balloons with Oris the otter in hopes of retrieving the animal city's stolen water from the evil crocodile, Mr. Croker. Like most match-3 puzzle adventures, this game features a ton of special power-ups and balloons; fantastic animations, graphics, and sound; as well as plenty of challenging levels (over 2500 in total) to enjoy. There's even a competitive mode, Match 3 Mania, for those competitive players out there.If you love match-3 puzzle game with a fun cartoonish look and a somewhat generic storyline but with a twist, then you'll want to play Water Splash! The game can be played on both mobile and your browser (via Facebook).
