Battlefield Hardline vs Counter-Strike: Source
Battlefield Hardline
Battlefield Hardline is rather nice spin-off from the usual massive battlefields, which happened to be the hallmark of the Battlefield game franchise. In this spin-off though, instead of playing as soldiers in a war, you'll be assuming the character of detective Nick Mendoza in the game's episodic crime drama. Being the lead detective, you'll need to manage your team of cops, gather intel, obtain warrants and take down various criminals and the organizations they are associated with. Many of the features in this game is similar to the ones you'll alrready have encountered in any of the main Battlefield games, including a large arsenal of weapons, a range of vehicles, a variety of gadgets as well as destructible environments. The game also offer four different multiplayer modes where you can play as the cops or the criminal. In a way, the game have a bit of a PayDay feel to it.
Battlefield Hardline is a quite unique spin-off of the series and it has been received pretty well by its fans. The gameplay is as fun as ever. If you like cop games, this is the game you'll want to play.
Counter-Strike: Source
Counter-Strike: Source is the second installment in the incredibly popular MMOFPS franchise, Counter-Strike. Despite being a rather old game, Counter-Strike: Source still manages to hold its own in this day and age, with some even claming this game is so much better than the more recent Counter-Strike: Global Offensive or CS:GO. Unlike CS:GO, this game doesn't offer buyable skins and the most important thing - the community is definitely not as toxic as those you'd find in the CS:GO servers. Although the game modes can be rather limited, you can easily find some really good new ones in modded servers. So, if you're looking for the Counter-Strike experience without all the hate that most new players will get, this might be a good game to start.
