Big Barn World vs Family Zoo: The Story
Big Barn World
Big Barn World is a pretty unique farm simulation game, mainly because it takes social aspect of social farming simulations to a whole new level. In this game, you'll not only need to plant, grow and harvest your own crops; you will also get to raise a variety of adorable animals. All the harvest and animal produce you obtain will then be sold to earn money. There are many farm plots you can unlock as you level up while certain plots are reserved for "members" of the Farmers with Benefits club. The really unique part about the game though is not the fact that you can visit your friends' farms - that has been done multiple times across most farm sims - but the fact that you can plant special seeds in specifically-designated friend plots on your friends' farms. You won't be able to take care of the crop as your friend will do that for you, but when the crop matured and it sold, both you and your friend will get a cut of the profits!
Big Barn World may not be as popular as Farmville or any of Facebook's more popular farm sims, but the game offers something different; something more social that will do well with players with plenty of actively gaming friends. If this sounds like just the game for you, be sure to give it a try. The game is available on both Android and iOS.
Family Zoo: The Story
Family Zoo: The Story is a match-3 puzzle-simulation game where you get to play match-3 levels to earn not only coins but also tickets to then use to rennovate and restore a rundown zoo in hopes of bringing it back to its former glory and save it from its terrible fate of being knocked down and replaced with a more profitable supermarket. The match-3 gameplay in this game is rather unique, giving players the option of causing a whole lot more fruity explosions than you may expect from a "standard match-3 game". In fact, by creating bombs and causing explosions, you can fill up the Color Orange meter and get yourself a free booster to use!
The zoo rennovation aspect of the game is somewhat limited though. You are restricted to choosing from a few available options and you can't really decorate your zoo yourself. Everything you add to the zoo have their own fixed positions. It would have been nice to have more freedom in customizing your own virtual zoo.
Overall though, Family Zoo: The Story is an amazing match-3 puzzle game that has some form of simulation elements in it. If you go into the game expecting more match-3 gameplay than simulation, then you'll find the game quite intriguing and fun.
