Dead Island Riptide is a blend between a sequel and a spin-off from the original Dead island game, mainly because it is still set in the Banoi archipelago and yet the open world island you'll be trying to escape from this time around is called Palanai. The story continues from where the first game left off as well where your escape was thwarted and you are thrown back into the whole zombie fiasco.
