Dog Duty vs Jenga
Dog Duty
Dog Duty is a tactical strategy game with cool pixel art that has a fun and challenging, arcade-based combat and a familiar "save the world" theme where the goal is to defeat all the Octopus Commander’s lieutenants and ultimately take down the commander itself, liberating the world from its tyranny. The gameplay here comes in two forms – the “open-world format” where you control the vehicle your squad is on rather than the squad itself, and of course, the arcade shooter component in which you’ll get to control individual team members as you go about completing your mission and/or liberating squid-controlled locations.
All in all, Dog Duty is definitely a game worth keeping an eye on. It is a tactical strategy game that tries very hard to differentiate itself from other similar games within the genre… and in that respect, the game did really well. The gameplay is also both entertaining and not-too-difficult to play, at least for the first playthrough, but once you complete the game, you should be able to replay the game at a much higher difficulty.
Jenga
Jenga is the only Jenga-type game on the mobile market and it's not surprising to see why. From creating racing games with realistic motion physics to creating Jenga with accurate, close-to-life gravitational physics and stability, NaturalMotion is possibly the only mobile-specific company that is able to create a realistic digital version of the timeless crowd-favorite game, complete with beautifully rendered environment. The game also has a multiplayer mode that'll see you competing with friends to see who'll topple the tower of blocks first. Scores you earn from playing are also listed on the leaderboard - that is if the scores are high enough - giving you some amount of bragging rights if you happen to rank near or at the top. Not to mention, you can even compare the heights of your Jenga blocks with your friends' while you're still playing a game!
There are, however, some issues with the game, but overall, Jenga is still the only mobile version of the favorite pastime of many and if you suddenly had a craving for such a game, you'll have nohere to turn except to this one... unless you own a physical version of the game, then by all means, invite some friends over and have some fun!
