Endless Space vs Homeworld
Endless Space
Endless Space is a stunning turn based strategy game where you are in control, and have a variety of ways to win. Take command of one of 10 different unique races and then help them to develop, build and attack as needed to achieve your goals. You can win by Diplomacy, Technology or simply smashing your enemies into the floor. Each game is against up to 4 opponents in randomly generated maps that include whole chunks of galactic space.Control your resources and develop your civilization and military by increasing their technology and creating huge cities. There are 7 ways to win, each with their own victory conditions, when one of the players gets it the game is over, there is also a timer that counts down so you are against other players and the clock. The combat is turn based and uses rock paper scissors style, blended with a lot of tactical choices. An interesting game with a lot of replayability and just a sheer enjoyment factor.
Homeworld
Homeworld is the remastered collection of a timeless classic which contains all remastered versions of the game as well as the classic versions. In some way, Homeworld plays out like EVE Online... if it's a an RTS game, that is. In this game, you'll get to build an armada of up to 100 spaceships of all types, shapes and sizes (that are unlocked through reseach), and battle enemies be it AIs or other players alike. The tactical and strategic depth provided in this game is simply incredible, allowing you to control every aspect of your fleet from its formation to flight tactics for individual battalions. This game also include a multiplayer mode which lets up to 8 players battle it out on any of teh game's 23 maps. Of course, you can choose any of the races in either Homeworld or Homeworld 2.
Honestly, we can't recommend Homeworld enough! This game is a classic through and through, and if you enjoy games of its genre, you simply must check this game out.
