It is now your responsibility to take care of the well-being of your people and expand your vault by adding in a variety of rooms.Aside from ensuring that your vault dwellers are getting the resources they need to survive, you'll also be expected to equip them with the strength (by leveling them up), the equipment and the stats they need to defend the vault from any invasive forces, be it a team of raiders attacking from the outside, or a swarm of radroaches attacking from within, or even disasters.
You can send your vault dwellers out into the wasteland to explore and gather important loot as well - loot that can then be re-appropriated to your own people or be broken down into parts that can then be used to build new weapons and outfits. Players can explore new castles for resources crucial for survival. These resources can be used to craft invaluable items that include workbenches, medieval weapons, and strong armory to defend against the wandering souls. You also get to manage your own castle by defending it through indigenous traps and strong defense systems. Moreover, the game includes war horses to ride, dangerous animals to hunt and resources to acquire in an open world environment. Players can also form clans to help survive a bit longer in the wild.
