Far Cry 4 vs Titan Quest
Far Cry 4
Far Cry 4 casts you into the role of Ajay Ghale, a person who travelled to the remote mountainous region of Kyrat to fulfill his mother's dying wish only to find himself trapped in a civil war between the rebels and the dictator that ruled the region with an iron fist, Pagan Min. Featuring the same epic open world and the freedom to literally do whatever you like, Far Cry 4 has a whole lot more deadly beings aside from humans with guns; the place is teeming with a wide variety of dangerous wildlife that will put your hunting skills to the test. The game also provides you with a whole new set of weapons and vehicles, including the ability to ride an elephant into battle. Far Cry 4 even has a co-op aspect where you can grab a friend to explore the beautiful region and kill Pagan's people along with you. However, the game only has an automatic save (and no checkpoint saves) that severely limits the supposedly sandbox aspect of the game and well, the game has unskippable cutscenes, which frankly can get rather annoying in your second playthrough. Despite its downsides though, Far Cry 4 feels a lot more realistic than most open world games mainly because of the abundant of wildlife that is supposed to be present in a remote region like Kyrat. If you've enjoyed most of the Far Cry games so far, you'll definitely love this one.
Titan Quest
Titan Quest is an innovative mythological action-RPG that pits you into an epic quest of good vs evil set in the beautifully-designed lands of ancient Greece, Egypt and Asia. In this game, the mighty Titans have escaped their supposely eternal prison to cause unspeakable chaos on the inhabitants of Earth but unfortunately, the Gods aren't able to interfere directly and put a stop to the Titans' rampage. Instead, they searched for a hero who can help save the world - you! With many legendary heroes like Agamemnon and Achilles accompanying you in various legs of your journey, you will need to hone your fighting skills so you can defeat all the enemies that come your way, be it the famed villains and creatures of Greek mythology or even the Titans themselves. You'll also get to completely customize your character from head to toe. Interestingly, aside from its map editor where you can create whole new maps to adventure in, the game even has a multiplayer mode where you can group up with up to six other players for some cooperative gameplay.
Titan Quest is an impressive specimen of a game where you get to play out all the incredible mythlogical and legendary stories you've heard countless times in your youth while being in the shoes of the hero himself! That said, some players have reported having troubles with game-breaking bugs in the Steam version. Thus, if you can experience the game on any other platform, maybe you might want to try those instead.
