Hades
Hades is an action-packed roguelike RPG by Supergiant Games, creators of the highly-acclaimed Transistor and Bastion. You’ll play as Zagreus, son of the God of the Underworld, Hades, and Persephone, daughter of Demeter. The game covers the journey of the young Prince of the Underworld to leave his home, but to be free of his father’s clutches, he needs to go and battle Hades’ many minions across the vast expanse of his realm.Each escape attempt will be riddled with battles against the likes of Megaera, Perseus and Asterius, and even Hades himself. Though the challenge will be massive, you’ll get stronger with each attempt, strengthening the Infernal Arms like the Stygian Blade, Varatha, and Aegis and unlocking more as you progress. Thankfully, you won’t be alone in this battle, since the Olympians will grant you boons that will aid you in battle. For example, Zeus will add lighting to your attacks, Aphrodite will make your attacks render the Curse and Weak status, while Athena’s boon will deflect enemy attacks.
Apart from the action-packed battles with mobs and bosses, you’ll also deal with various challenges from Thanatos, the Olympians you’ve scorned, and Chaos himself. You’ll be treated to an outstanding art style, an epic cast of fully-voiced characters, and high-octane combat. The game is widely considered a masterpiece and has won several awards. Heroes of Might & Magic 5 saw a new developer take over, and as such a world reset. Here you have the gameplay you love, with the tactics and development you want with a host of new characters, stories and the world of Ashan. There are 6 campaigns for you to play each with their own special characters and story that introduces them and are a lot of fun to play. Discover the darkness of Inferno, the Elves of Sylvan and the sheer power of the Academy.This fully 3D game brings a host of the classic gameplay among new features and controls that both simplify the game and make it much more streamlined. Though you still have the map hunting, town burning grid based gameplay you love. Altogether a fun game, despite the new setting and a lot of the old traditions came through in a really great way.
