Halo 5: Guardians vs Overwatch
Halo 5: Guardians
Halo 5: Guardians is the lastest installment in the award-winning Halo game franchise. Although this game has a pretty epic co-op (up to 4-player) campaign that has a pretty awesome storyline to enjoy, Halo 5 is ultimately a paradise for players who love Halo's multiplayer mode. There are plenty more multiplayer modes for you to play in, including the new, large-scaled Warzone which can be further separated into a 24-player Warzone Assault (PvP) and a 8-player Warzone Firefight (co-op). There is also the usual Arena Multiplayer mode that pits teams of 4 players against each other. But the most interesting part of its multiplayer aspect is the REQ system which awards REQ points to players engaging in multiplayer matches. These points can then be used to unlock new weapons, armor, vehicles, stances and more!
So, if you really like Halo's multiplayer games and would like to play more of it, this game is literally designed with multiplayer as its focus. You'll find the game modes and the REQ system more than enough to keep you returning to the game.
Overwatch
Overwatch is one of the anticipated release back in 2016 and it has broken all expectations when the game earned a place among the top 10 most popular competitive MMO shooters out there within the very month it was launched. Aside from breaking records and winning awards, Overwatch is both diverse and simple - diverse in the sense that the game provides players with a wide array of unique characters, each having their own play styles and team roles; and simple in the context that the game is incredibly easy to pick up and play. Of course, being a buy-to-play game, Blizzard also took the wise route and made all characters available from the start. Only skins/ loot boxes will cost you credits (game currency) to buy. As an exclusively multiplayer game, Overwatch offers its players with a nice selection of PvP modes including weekly Brawls and ranked matches as well.Blizzard has scrapped many attempts at creating an entirely new game franchise from scratch, and evidently, Overwatch has not only made it through all the rigorous quality checks; it has become an instant success. Granted that the excellent marketing played an important part in all the fame that Overwatch now enjoys, the game itself still has to be really good to stay successful, don't you think? All in all, Overwatch is definitely worth every penny you spend in it.
