Heroes of the Storm vs Quake Live
Heroes of the Storm
Heroes of the Storm is a MOBA game developed by Blizzard which features all the prominent heroes and villains (or in general characters) that you may be familiar with in the Starcraft, Warcraft and Diablo universes. Heroes can be tailored to your playstyle through their talents and even skins. Aside from its amazing and ever-expanding list of heroes, the game also features uniquely-designed battlegrounds for you to battle in, experience-sharing (across members of the team) as well as a strong emphasis on objective-based teamplay. To sum up, if you are looking for an intense MOBA game with the likes of LoL or DotA 2 and yet is friendly enough for newcomers, Heroes of the Storm may just be the perfect game for you!Quake Live
Quake Live is an epic installment of the timeless classic, Quake. Returning for an encore, Quake Live aims to cater to the fans of the fast-paced arcade shooter genre by allowing them to play against other players from all over the world in any one of the game's 100 plus arenas and dozens of game modes. Not to mention, the game is often updated with new arenas from the company behind this revival of Quake as well as from its vibrant community.Quake was once the most competitive shooters in its day and it now aims to retain its title, at least in the arcade-like shooter genre, with this iteration... and we've got to say, it is doing a really great job. The game has already dive into the eSports scene with its own tournaments and it is doing really good. If you long for the good old days for frag or be fragged, this is a game you'll want to play - in addition to Quake Champions that is.
The unfortunate thing about this game is that it was previously free-to-play but now it's not. Considering that Quake Champions is already buy-to-play, it might be good to have a free-to-play version to help convert truly interested players from playing the free version to getting the paid version. It'll just allow the franchise to tap into a whole new pool of potential buyers and players after all.
