Knights & Dragons vs Nantucket
Knights & Dragons
Knights & Dragons is a fun fantasy-themed RPG that is quite similar to Artix's popular browser-based 2D RPG, AdventureQuest, in terms of its art style and the humor it uses in its dialogue and storyline. In this game, you play as a Knight-Commander of the Kingdom, who was sent to the kingdom's frontier to push back against the horde of relentless monsters sent to attack the people by the evil Dark Prince. Aside from being able to assemble a team of noble knights, you can even capture battle pets that will help bolster certain stats, in addition to contributing some DPS, during combat. Not to mention, you will also get to build a base of some sort in this game. The base mainly houses some structures that will either help you upgrade or craft armor, or help you by generating coins passively over time. There's also a PvP arena for you to test your mettle against rival knights, a gacha-style Chance Chest where you can potentially win powerful armor sets, and even a guild system.
Knights & Dragons may look like a kid's RPG on the surface, much like AdventureQuest did, but if you really get into the game, you'll find that the game has plenty of depth, a pretty interesting storyline and a host of characters that are quite funny. Nantucket
Nantucket is a strategic whaling game with an emphasis on ship and crew management that is based off on the famous classic literature, Moby Dick. In this game, you’ll get to dive right into the life of a captain of a whaling ship in the mid-nineteenth century. Aside from hunting whales, sharks, and other massive sea creatures, upgrading both your crew and your ship, as well as raking in tons of coins from selling your whaling goods, the game will let you set off on your personal quest to finally hunt down the infamous Moby Dick. Will you finally be able to avenge Captain Ahab and put that monstrous beast to rest?In short, Nantucket is a truly impressive strategy/management game that puts you behind the wheel of your very own whaling ship. The game seems to not only has a storyline that continues where the classic literature Moby Dick left off, and also an engaging gameplay with a unique, turn-based combat system. Granted that there are a few minor aspects the game can improve on, such as adding in more player portraits, Nantucket is one of those rare indie gems that will be making waves in the gaming community and industry.
