Little Nightmares vs Unravel
Little Nightmares
Little Nightmares is a dark and atmospheric puzzle-adventure game that has a rather nice Tim Burton style and vibe, as well as a really deep story that will force you to figure it out by making connections between the many symbolisms in the game. In this game, you play as a yellow-hooded child called Six who happened to be trapped in a nightmare called the Maw. You'll need to help Six escape from the terrifying place at any cost!Little Nightmares has a really amazing feeling overall, but it has quite a number of flaws. The controls for instance is incredibly clunky, resulting in more deaths than necessary frankly. The game's autosave points are too rare and far in between, making the game rather frustrating to play at times. Of course, the most important of all, the game has a fairly short adventure and thus, the price it is asking for might just be a bit too expensive. But if you do want to try this game, you may want to buy the game during a promotion.
Unravel
Unravel is a very unique puzzle-platformer that features an adorable yarn-made character that’s aptly called Yarny. With a heart-warming story that has no words to drive the game, you’ll get to set off on a beautiful adventure with Yarny as he tries to reconnect the long-lost memories of his family. The gameplay in Unravel is simply amazing. Being a physics-based puzzle game, players will need to use Yarny’s single thread to interact with the gorgeous game environment, which was inspired by the beautiful forests of Northern Scandinavia by the way, to swing across a wide gap or hitch a ride on a flying kite. Although the puzzles may seem difficult or maybe impossible at first, the tools that you/Yarny has is more than enough to solve them.
Unravel is not only a fun and challenging puzzle game but it also provides players with an emotional, heartfelt journey and a charming character to play as. It’s an excellent game and is one you should definitely play especially if you’re into games from this sort of genre.
