MapleStory 2 vs Vindictus
MapleStory 2
MapleStory 2 is the highly-anticipated sequel to the popular 2D side-scrolling MMORPG/virtual world game, MapleStory. However, this game is almost unrecognisable as "MapleStory" due to the massive changes (some positive, some.... well, not so much) done to the game. For starters, the game is fully in 3D now and it adopted a voxel-based style which is similar to Portal Knights and Trove. The game is also more customizable than ever, allowing players to not only build their own homes in the game; they can also design outfits and gear for their characters. Of course, you will still be able to change your character's looks, such as changing ther hairstyle and color, as well.Despite all the outer and some internal changes, the game's core remained unchanged - it is still a social virtual world-like MMO game where players can just relax by taking a dip in their outdoor pool if they tire of adventures and monster slaying. They can even drop by a friend's place and just to hang out.
MapleStory 2 is definitely not simply a "copy-paste" version of the original. Instead, the developers have given the game and the franchise new life by adapting the game to the tastes of the current generation of gamers. It is still not available worldwide despite being touted as "globally released", but most countries should be able to access it by now. If your country is covered, you might want to give the game a try!
Vindictus
Vindictus is an exhilarating and bloody action-based MMORPG set in a world filled with creatures tainted by the darkness that has enveloped the land. In this game, you play as 1 of the 9 characters and are later recruited to join a band of professional mercenaries, the Crimson Blades, to rid the world of the monsters that plagued it... for a price. In addition to having an intriguing story to back it up, the gameplay in Vindictus is also incredibly fun mainly due to its fast-paced and action-based combat that's complimented with a robust combo system. After all, timely dodges and attacks are the key to minimizing the damage taken and maximizing your dps output. There is even a crafting system where you can combine materials obtained from slain mobs to create your own armor and weapons, and multiple PvP arena options for you to test your mettle.
In some way, Vindictus is like a darker version of Dragon Nest, but it is equally as addictive and fun to play. Sounds just like a game you'd like? Well then, download the game now!
