Mass Effect: Andromeda vs Star Wars Battlefront
Mass Effect: Andromeda
Mass Effect: Andromeda is a spin-off from the brilliant Mass Effect trilogy that lets you assume the role of a Pathfinder (as opposed to Commander Shepard) where you and your team of highly-trained soldiers will help humanity lead its first pioneers into the uncharted Andromeda galaxy. Featuring the game's signature saga-like storyline that's overflowing with mystery and epic space conflict, this game contains many aspects that Mass Effect fans have enjoyed and loved before, including incredibly in-depth character customization and character interactions, but at an enhanced and improved level. Interestingly, the game provides a destructible environment that a clever player can use to their advantage during heated combat. The game's gameplay also has a nice upgrade. Aside from boosted jumps, players now have a new line of weapons and tech to play with as well as the use of the very unique Biotics which definitely helps super-charge every battle you get into. Galaxy exploration is a key factor in this game as well, being Pathfinders and all.
However, either the publisher, EA Games, or the developers, BioWare, have decided to cancel single player updates for Mass Effect: Andromeda and only focusing on multiplayer ones. This comes as a great disappointment to many fans mainly because they love the storyline and would actually like to play them out in a game rather than, as announced recently, through comics or books. On the bright side though, there may still be more Mass Effect games to come in the future.
Star Wars Battlefront
Star Wars Battlefront is perhaps one of the best Star Wars games to date. In this game, you can truly immerse yourself in one of Star Wars iconic battles complete with stormtroopers, walkers, and lightsaber-wielding Jedis on the ground, as well as X-wings and TIE fighters in the skies. You can choose to play on either the Rebels' or the Imperial side in the conflict, fighting for either the light or the dark side. Each multiplayer match can house up to 40 players, making each battle as hectic and lively as the real thing in the movies! There are many different planets you can do battle on and naturally, the different biomes and terrain of each planet pose a different challenge even to the most hardcore of players. If multiplayer is not for you, you can even go co-op instead and dive into the many exciting challenges alongside your buddies, or simply play solo.Best yet, if you happen to own a Playstation copy of the game and also a Playstation VR, you can enjoy some bonus virtual reality content where you get to engage in dog-fights and blast at enemies from your very own space fighter.
Star Wars Battlefront is definitely designed with the idea of bringing the grand battles and suave action you often see on the big screen to a platform that allows you to not only interact with the many characters in it but also to really engage and role-play your favorite characters. Couple that with original Star Wars soundtrack and the massive effort put into making sure that every meticulous detail is accurate, this is a game that will give any Star Wars fan a huge rush!
