Unlike the Ghost Recon series, this game features you as a special operative that has been deployed to a devastated New York City after a pandemic swept across the city and many others during Black Friday. As expected of any post-apocalyptic event, the less civic-minded people have emerged, such as the Rikers and the Cleaners, and they intend to take control of New York by instilling terror on any survivors they met (or sometimes actively sniff out). It is these poor survivors you'll be standing up for and protecting as you carry out your mission to hopefully clear out the enemies and bring some form of security back into the city.Featuring a tactical cover-based gameplay that Ghost Recon is famous for, The Division provides a game environment where the time of day or the weather can be used to your advantage when planning an assault.
