Mobius Final Fantasy is a rather enjoyable spin-off from the legendary anime game franchise, Final Fantasy. Playable on both Android and iOS as well as on PC (Steam), the game features a fun yet tactically-infused, turn-based combat system with simple controls that perfectly suit the limitations of mobile devices. Newcomers will find this game a Final Fantasy game that's not only easy to get into in terms of its gameplay but also in terms of its storyline. As opposed to most of the standalone Final Fantasy games which have stories that are inextricably linked to one another, this game plops you into the shoes of the amnesiac protagonist who happens to be the prophesized "Hero of Light"... sounds rather cliche? Well, you're not wrong there. The story in this game can be a bit lackluster unfortunately.Thankfully, the gameplay pretty much makes up for the lacking story, allowing players something good to say about this game. Pokémon Duel is one of the few mobile spin-offs that deviate rather far from the conventional Pokemon games. Featuring a strategic gameplay that's based on the popular Pokemon Trading Figure Game in Japan, you'll get to actually battle other Pokemon trainers by placing your Pokemon figures on a board. The player who managed to reach their opponent's base tile will win the game.As you might have expect of any Pokemon-themed games, you'll get to collect beautiful (but digital) Pokemon figurines from across all Pokemon generations, assemble your lineup of figurines, much like building a deck, and attempt to defeat as many Pokemon trainers as you can on your quest to become the best Pokemon trainer.
Pokemon Duel is the perfect game for players who are looking for a free-to-play Pokemon game that actually let you duel - not like the tap-fest that Pokemon Go uses. Fans of the Pokemon Trading Figure Game might find this game very entertaining as well since it's very similar to the game they love.
