Old School Runescape vs Shards of Magic
Old School Runescape
Old School Runescape is the very first old-school version of Runescape, one of the largest and earliest 2.5D free-to-play MMORPG. For sentimental or nostalgic's sake, players can once again dive into the wonderful and expansive world of Gielinor. For players who have played Runescape back when it was "cool" before, they might already know about the funny quests that they get to enjoy, the extensive character customization and progression system, the robust and frankly thriving auction/trading system, the old-school crafting, fun group dungeons and the crazy ton of events and other content to keep you engaged for months on end. Oh and of course, the lose everything you are carrying if you die and couldn't make it back to your corpse in time before other players stumble on it and loot it.The hardcore players of Runescape had to pressure Jagex to bring back the Old School Runescape once the game franchise has evolved so much to cater to the younger generation of players and in some way, we are glad they did. This game is a testament to how far Runescape as a franchise has come and not to mention, it's truly one of the best classic MMORPGs of all time.
Shards of Magic
Shards of Magic is a free-to-play turn-based RPG that is published and developed by Reality Squared Game Co and is currently available for both Android and iOS devices. The game is the straightforward sort - you'll be managing and assembling a team of heroes to fight various enemies sent your way by the villain, Dusan, as you try to collect all the shards of a magical crystal (hence, the name) that were scattered across the realm to stop Dusan from getting his hands on that crystal and using it to destroy the world. There are tons of heroes for you to collect and upgrade, as well as plenty of events, both PvE and PvP ones, for you to enjoy.Aside from its fun gameplay, Shards of Magic also provides some stunning graphics and sound - though the voice acting may leave it slightly less desirable - that will accompany you along your perilous journey. This game is as solid a mobile MMORPG as it goes and if you love casual MMOs, this is a game you might want to play.
