Quake Champions is the reworked and improved version of the classic MMOFPS game, Quake. In fact, the game doesn’t only pay homage to the timeless MMO shooter; it also improves on the usual Quake formula, by including whole new multi-level maps, lineup of characters and a much wider range of customization options, bringing the entire series to greater heights. The changes have also been met with approving nods from both die-hard fans and eSport Quake experts so the game’s definitely moving in the right direction. Of course, the game is also touted as Quake's comeback in the eSports arena.Quake Champions is currently in closed beta and is slated to be released later this year.
Valorant
Valorant is, to put it simply, the "baby" of Counter-Strike and Apex Legends. The game is a tactical 5v5 team-based first-person shooter where you get to play as one of the game’s many agents, each with their own skills and abilities. You’ll go in with your team and fight in well-crafted maps in two rounds consisting of the gameplay loop of planting a bomb to destroy two objective points and preventing the other team from doing so. The game has robust leaderboards and ranking systems. Rise through the ranks with your team, start getting wins, and put your name on top of the leaderboard. In Valorant, you’ll be able to take control of one of its agents per game, ranging from Sova the Russian Scout, Viper the chemist, and Breach. The agents have a unique array of abilities and roles, ranging from the attack-oriented Duelist, the disruptive Initiator, and the supportive Sentinel. Moreover, no FPS is complete without guns, and you will be able to use a wide range of weapons from shotguns to assault rifles and snipers. And yes, you’ll be able to buy weapons like Counter-Strike, and use skills and abilities like in Apex Legends.
Overall, Valorant is a must-play if you’re looking for an action-packed competitive FPS. It’s a great game to play with friends and is another masterpiece by Riot games.
