Smash Hit vs Super Mario Run
Smash Hit
Smash Hit is a unique and yet entertaining arcade-like game. You will be travelling through an otherworldly dimension where you'll need to break as many glass objects as you can with what seems to be steel ball bearings. The most interesting part about this game though is that everything in the game is intricately linked to the music played in the background as you play. So, this also means that if you happen on a stage where the tune is a lot quicker, you can definitely expect the obstacles to move a lot faster (and hence, harder to aim) too.Bringing its players the stress-release that comes with smashing fragile stuff, Smash Hit is indeed a smash hit on the mobile platform as it has racked up over 100 million downloads over the years. The game is even adapted for the Oculus virtual reality platform (check out Smash Hit VR).
Super Mario Run
Super Mario Run is a mobile 2D platform-based arcade game created by Nintendo. The game puts you into Mario's shoes once again but this time, due to auto-running, you won't have full control over Mario himself. That said, you can still make him jump over obstacles, collect coins and mushrooms, jump on enemies, as well as perform cool wall jumps. Thankfully, as the game's speed doesn't increase as you play since the game can be rather complex and getting accurate jumps is of the utmost importance, especially if you aim to get the highest score. The game even has a small castle-building and decorating aspect when you're not out adventuring. There is also the Rush mode where you can attemtp to beat other players’ high scores in the fastest time possible.
If you're a huge fan of everything Mario, Super Mario Run is definitely the game for you. But even if you're not, this game is an incredibly well-made platformer that brings this successful franchise to the mobile market for free. The game is worth your time, that's for sure!
