WordCrafting: A Tower of Words is a very intriguing and unique, fantasy-themed word puzzle game that combines the strategy and physics needed in tower-building games with the fun of unscrambling the letters in a word and making crossword puzzles. It may not be the easiest game to get into, but once you get how it works, you will quickly realize how refreshingly entertaining it is.The game offers 3 different game modes, which will be unlocked as you complete the previous mode. The game starts you off with the easiest MishMash mode, which basically consists of tower-building and unscrambling letters, and then move you on to the Classic mode that will require you to form your own words as you build your towers. Lastly, you'll get to the Endless mode whereby you will attempt to build the highest tower you can and see how well you rank among your friends on the leaderboard. There is also a Word of the Day mini-game to play, and some collectibles that you can collect by opening treasure chests.
Once in a while, I will stumble on a very much underrated word game that’s so unique, intriguing, refreshing, and challenging that it completely blows my mind (in a good way), and I’ve got to admit – WordCrafting: A Tower of Words is, without a doubt, one of these incredibly rare games. The number of new words you can learn through the MishMash mode of this game is simply astounding as well.
Granted that not many wordies may enjoy a game as different as this one, especially since the game seems to focus more on building solid structures rather than testing your vocabulary (at least in the MishMash mode), WordCrafting is definitely a game that wordies simply must try.
Wordscapes
Wordscapes doesn’t only offer its players a nice and innovative word puzzle game that combines crossword with a word finder; the game is also designed in such a soothing way (mainly because of the gorgeous backgrounds) that after playing it for a while, you’ll feel more relaxed. I’d say this game is the perfect game to play for wordies to wind down after a stressful day at work. After all, most of the word games nowadays often try to outdo themselves by being intensely competitive and hence, “social”, but many of these game developers forget that sometimes, we wordies just want to have a fun time challenging ourselves and our brains without having to stress out about losing our high rank on the leaderboard whenever we played a few bad games.The game isn't a money drain either. You can watch video ads to get some extra coins if you need them to buy a hint. You can also make words that aren't on the crossword puzzle to get a few more coins. So, if you like a word puzzle game that is just that a fun word puzzle, then Wordscapes is perfect for you!
