Monster Hunter Rise
Monster Hunter Rise is the latest game in the universally-acclaimed Monster Hunter series, which will be available on Steam on January 12th. Originally released on the Nintendo Switch, the game takes place in a new world centered around the Kamura Village, the central hub. However, people living there fear the Rampage, a series of destructive events that caused monsters to attack it. The most recent one occurred 50 years ago, and it nearly wiped out the entire village. As a monster hunter, you’ll explore the world surrounding the village, which is filled with vibrant and dynamic ecosystems, from lush forests and arid deserts to frozen wastelands and volcanic outcrops. Of course, the staple gameplay of tracking and engaging monsters in long, action-packed fights using weapons like the longsword, hammer, charge blade, and bowguns are still there. This time, the monsters are a little different since many of them are inspired by Japanese folklore, like the Magnamalo, Aknosom, and Great Izuchi. However, familiar beasts like the Rathalos, Tigrex, and Khezu are around. If you need help, you can participate in hunts with friends and other players, especially against Apex monsters.
Whether you’re an MH franchise veteran or a newbie, Monster Hunter Rise should definitely be on your crosshairs.
