Boom Beach is an excellent alternative to Supercell's immensely popular and highly competitive MMO strategy game, Clash of Clans. Similar to Clash of Clans in so many ways, the game's gameplay mainly puts you through the motion of designing and building up your base, defending it from invaders and attacking other players' bases in return. However, Boom Beach has a more militaristic theme, though it is, oddly enough, less punishing to more casual players. You don't really have to check on your base as frequently, and its matchmaking aspect is much better adjusted so that you'll get to face enemies that you have a chance of defeating and yet is still quite challenging as well.Boom Beach is definitely a game that's designed to attract players that are on-the-fence about Clash of Clans and yet is curious enough to want to try a game like Clash of Clans. Ikariam is an online empire-building MMO strategy game that partly resembles games like The Settlers Online and Sparta: War of Empires, and yet manages to offer something else that's entirely unique. In this game, you play the role of a leader of a Greek polis (city) and it is your sacred duty to develop your polis' infrasructure and economy, build up an army to defend said polis and attack other poleis, as well as to bring about new technological discoveries that will aid the growth of your empire.Ikariam may feel like every other browser-based MMO strategy game, but once you get into the game, you'll quickly realize how much more depth this game has and how exciting it is to play the game.
