CastleStorm is a 2D tower defense game with a very unique twist. It features a combination of sandbox-like castle-building feature - a feature that some may liken to Hustle Castle - with a challengingly strategic gameplay, where you not only have to defend your own castle from being destroyed and your flag captured; you will also need to deploy troops - there are plenty to choose from - to attack your opponent's castle by first battering down the gates, and capturing the flag.Unlike many other similar games, you can also deploy your hero into the battlefield to grant your troops some morale support. You can personally control your hero and he will have a range of skills that you can use as well. Interestingly, when not in "hero mode", you can use the many siege weapons available to hurl heavy objects at the enemy's troops or castle à la Angry Birds-style.
The game focuses mainly on single-player in the past but it recently han unveiled a PvP multiplayer game mode where players build up their castle and let other players take a shot at it.
CastleStorm is an incredibly addictive game to play, especially if you're a huge fan of tower defense-like games; and not only that, the game has plenty of hilarious characters and dialogues which will at the very least make you chuckle from time to time. It's a game worth buying (for PC, Xbox and PS4. The game is free-to-play on mobile platforms) and you can even play it on any major platform you prefer!

Kingdoms and Castles is a fun medieval city building game developed by the indie games company, Lion Shield. In this game, you'll get to not only build and develop your very own villages around your castle, but you'll also need to defend it from outside invaders. Being the leader, it is up to you to ensure that your people get enough food and supplies to survive the day-to-day in addition to the occasional raider and dragon attacks. How you optimize your cities is also another fun aspect of the gameplay as it provides you with plenty of population-boosting structures to build.Despite its blocky looks, Kingdoms and Castles is a surprisingly in-depth medieval-themed city-building and management game. If you enjoy other games of the same genre, you'll definitely like this game.
