Dungeon Fighter Online , developed by Neople, is a side-scrolling hack-and-slash-styled action RPG that doesn't only guarantee an intense retro-like gameplay, but also an epic storyline to boot. The game features 14 different classses, each of whom has their own stories to tell and can be further customized using a wide variety of dyes available. Classes are all well-balanced too, and even if they aren't, you can definitely expect a patch to be put in really quickly to make things fair for every player in the game.Inspired by games like Golden Axe, Double Dragon and Street Fighter, Dungeon Fighter Online provides you with that thrillingly-satisfying action-packed gameplay by adding in brilliant hit effects and incredible combos as you hack, slash, shoot, cast or punch your way through the game. Everything just feels fo fast-paced and fluid! There are also tons of fun and constant events to keep things fresh and exciting for both old and new players alike.
However, in order to prevent players from playing only 1 character exclusively, the game implements a Fatigue system which will boot you out to another character once you've spent around 2 hours plus on the previous one. There's a crafting system in this game as well, but this part of the game is, surprisingly, very easily to overlook since it's somehow not among the main aspects of the game.
That said, Dungeon Fighter Online is a pretty impressive MMO action RPG that is well-maintained and updated despite being run by a pretty small games company. The gameplay is as astounding for a side-scrolling hack-and-slash game as it can get and the anime graphics is as amazing as ever. This is definitely the sort of game fans of Elsword Online or other similar games would enjoy!
Helmet Heroes
Helmet Heroes is a free-to-play, 2D platform-based MMORPG that not only has a Maplestory feel to it, but it’s also a child-oriented game due to its cartoonish graphics. Here, you’ll get to play as one of four adventurers who set out to explore an amazingly diverse world filled with various creatures to fight and loot to collect. The game also features a satisfying progression system whereby your character development is not hampered by your chosen class, a pretty challenging gameplay, and it can be somewhat punishing if you die while carrying a ton of cash.In some way, Helmet Heroes plays a lot like a simplified version of the platformer, Maplestory, with a hint of Mario albeit minus the anime part. The game focuses a lot on exploration whereby you’ll get to discover odd regions filled with as equally odd creatures which you farm for a chance to get the item you want. Item-stealing is a pretty fun aspect of the game and it reminds me a lot of the old Runescape, but the game does give the person who dealt the most damage looting priority, at least for the first few seconds. The open-ended-styled character development, despite having you to choose a class at the beginning, may also bring Runescape to mind.
So, all said and done, if you enjoy playing 2D platformer/MMORPGs, then Helmet Heroes is a game you should check out! The game’s free after all, and it can be played by the whole family as well.
