Food Fantasy vs World Chef
Food Fantasy
Food Fantasy is a unique JRPG where all the characters in the game are essentially personified food. For instance, "red wine" is personified into a suave young man who dressed like a Victorian vampire, while "hotdog" is depicted as a tall and lanky young man who has a passion for painting (naturally, ketchup is his signature paint). This concept in its own is immensely intriguing and, of course, very unique, but does the game holds up well when it comes to its gameplay?Well, the story behind the whole game can feel a tad bit forced, and even confusing for some. Apparently, fallen angels have invaded the world and only food souls, a.k.a. the food characters, are able to help defeat them. Combat is pretty barebones, but it's still decent for a mobile RPG. The game even lets you manage your own restaurant where you'll get to prepare and serve food to your customers, much like in a cafe-themed time management game.
Food Fantasy is indeed a very intriguing game, all thanks to its unique perspective on food. It's also really nice that the game incorporates some aspects of a restaurant management game, which completely fits the overall theme, into its gameplay, giving players something else to enjoy aside from all the fighting in a standard RPG.
World Chef
World Chef is a fun restaurant simulation game where you'll get to cook up a storm, serve your customers a wide variety of cuisines, have fun decorating your place with décor from a plethora of themes, while helping to restore your grandpa's restaurant to its former popularity! The game is very easy to get into and the gameplay is also easy to understand. The ultimate goal of the game is for you to build up the popularity of your restaurant so it can reach a 3-star rating, and you can slowly increase your popularity rating by placing decorations. However, the decor all costs cash so you'll need to cook some dishes and sell them for some profit.
Aside from this, there are plenty of other features that you can eventually unlock as you level up in this game. Each of these features provides you with something extra, be it the ability to attract celebrities to your restaurant, to gather exotic ingredients or even to upgrade your dishes so they can sell for more. World Chef is also a very social game, and this is evident in its somewhat unique, friends-driven gameplay.
World Chef is a really entertaining, free-to-play restaurant simulation game. Aside from the unique friends-based SOS feature, its gameplay is basically very similar to Dining Zoo so if you’ve enjoyed the latter, you’ll definitely love playing the former game.
