Gigantic vs Orcs Must Die: Unchained
Gigantic
Gigantic is a brand-new and unique MOBA-like game that revolutionizes the genre by infusing elements from an RPG, namely a boss fight, with an objective-based gameplay. Unlike other MOBAs, Gigantic will have players fight for the control of their team’s respective power points to gather up enough power to activate their team’s Guardians – the gryphon Leiran for House Aurion and the serpentine Grenn for House Davaedra. With the Guardians’ help, players from both teams will then battle it out in an attempt to wipe out each other’s Guardians and win the match. In addition to its special art style, there are tons of other details in the gameplay that make it very entertaining and competitive to play. The game is also played in the third-person, which offers players more ways to flank and outflank the enemy. Of course, there is a wide range of heroes in this game as well, each has their own set of skills and playstyle that allow players to gain a drastically different gaming experience every time they try new characters. Best yet, everything in the game, including skins, can be purchased using game cash too!
Gigantic had almost become a game that never was, but by some miracle, it finally made it to its release. We couldn’t imagine not being able to experience the game’s fresh and exciting gameplay, and we’re sure many players - fans of the MOBA genre, especially – will feel the same way too.
Orcs Must Die: Unchained
Orcs Must Die: Unchained is the free to play version of the popular Orcs Must Die game franchise. Being the third installment of the said franchise, the game still features the series' iconic tower defense-like (but with traps) gameplay but it has added a new multiplayer aspect that seem to combine the popular MOBA genre with tower defense, providing the game with a more competitive side. Interestingly, the game even let you decide which creeps you want to deploy, giving players more flexibility to craft the commonly AI-controlled element to suit their intentions be it to defend their own core or to heighten the offensive and put pressure on the opposing team's defenses. Of course, let's not forget about the franchise hallmark sense of humor as well - thankfully, this is as much as a part of Orcs Must Die 1 and 2 as it is in this MOBA-like game.As unique as this game is though, Orcs Must Die: Unchained hasn't really taken off into the mainstream, perhaps mainly because the game level-restricts its maps, forcing lower level players to replay the same low-level map over and over until they manage to unlock a new one. Not to mention, many fans of their previous game was not happy that the game has deviated so much from its original. However, if you're looking for a truly unique MOBA with tower defense elements, Orcs Must Die: Unchained is a very good game to play.
