Grand Chase Reborn vs Super Mario Odyssey
Grand Chase Reborn
Grand Chase Reborn is a private Grand Chase server which was born to fulfill the need had arisen after the shut down of the official Grand Chase servers. This version of the game is pretty much similar to the original one. Grand Chase Reborn is an anime-inspired, 2.5D side-scrolling action MMO/platformer that may bring to mind other games like MapleStory. Aside from the adorable chibi characters, the game also have some colorful and appealing graphics. To play, you'll first get to select a character and from there you'll then get to choose a class out of the 8 classes available, each of them have their own set of skills and play styles. The character you choose will limit the classes you get, so you might want to try different character-class combos before heading into the game. Gameplay-wise, the game does have a pretty steep learning curve since you'll need to memorize the many ways you can combine various skills to get powerful combos. It also has a nice cooperative campaign for you to go through, if you dislike the idea of encountering a premium player during PvP.
If you really miss playing Grand Chase, you will definitely enjoy Grand Chase Reborn. If not, you'll feel like the advantages that premium players get far outweigh the insane amount of effort you'll put into the game to just be on equal footing as they are. It's a game that cures nostalgia but not exactly a game to play if you don't plan on being a premium player.
Super Mario Odyssey
Super Mario Odyssey is the latest Super Mario and boy, is it amazing! The game still sends you on a quest to rescue Princess Peach, this time from Bowser's wedding plans, and as usual, the journey is incredibly long and there are plenty of obstacles in your way. However, Super Mario Odyssey changes things up by giving Mario new moves, namely cap throw, that will greatly enhance the usual run-and-jump gameplay. The game also has a ton of collectibles to... well, collect, secrets to find, and enemies, objects and animals to capture. Coins that you've accumulated can also be exchanged for decorative souvenirs or new outfits for Mario at the Crazy Cap Store.Interestingly, since the game is available on Nintendo's new Nintendo Switch, this means that game is designed to be a 2-player game. The first player will be playing as Mario, while the second will be playing as Mario's heroic cap, Cappy. This is a gameplay that's practically unheard of and is pretty much a revolutionary milestone for the Super Mario series.
If you own a Nintendo Switch, or if you plan on getting one, this is one game you'll want on your device. Grab a friend now and enjoy Mario's brand-new odyssey!
