Unlike many other action rhythm games which are basically single-player games, Hachi Hachi lets you choose to compete with another player or play alone in its Casual mode. The game also has a highly competitive Arena mode. In it, there's a weekly tournament where players will be randomly matched with other players of similar skill levels and be given a random song and difficulty to battle in. The more matches you win, the higher you rank on the tournament's leaderboard!
