Half Life 2 vs Orbital Bullet
Half Life 2
Half Life 2 is the exciting sequel to the original Half Life game and is also the inspiration for a new Half-Life-based spin-off series. The game took the suspense, the challenge and the momentum of the first game and added in a much improved and realistic graphics and responsiveness that removes a lot of the clunkiness that old games often experience. The story also continues where it was left off before, with the crowbar-wielding scientist Gordon Freeman who now finds himself in an Earth that is not only infested with aliens but is also slowly decimated by them. He now needs to make amends for the incident back in Black Mesa and at least save the people that he cares about.
Half Life 2 is a great sequel, but it is unfortunately the last... at least for the Half Life series. On the bright side, you can somewhat continue the storyline through the spin-off games Half Life 2: Episode 1 and 2.
Orbital Bullet
Orbital Bullet is a rogue-lite platformer that comes with fast-paced and non-stop action, whether it is shooting at various enemies or stomping them into the ground, while featuring a unique 360˚ view. Play, die and repeat to accumulate points that you can then invest into your character’s talent tree, unlocking access to many useful and permanent perks like self-heal, a shield, and a better starter weapon. There are lots of biomes to discover and play through, bosses to defeat, and loot to collect.Orbital Bullet may seem rather gimmicky at first, and it does have a bit of that, but once you’ve gotten into the gameplay, the game will definitely make you change your mind. Even if you take away its iconic 360˚ feature, you’ll quickly realize that this game is truly an incredible rogue-lite platformer in its own right. Couple that with plenty of unique levels, thrilling boss fights, interesting enemies, and an overall progression that feels satisfying, you end up with a well-polished gem of an indie game!
