Hokko Life vs Home Street
Hokko Life
Hokko Life is a casual life sim that draws plenty of inspiration from the popular game, Animal Crossing, and is perfect for adults and kids alike to play. After finding yourself trapped in a remote town in the middle of nowhere, you turned it into your personal mission to revitalize the sleepy town back into its livelier version, before many of its residents moved to the city. Set up homes for new characters to move in, develop your own farm, design a host of furniture and items and share them with the community, collect butterflies and fishes, and most important of all, sit back, relax and have fun! There’s a reason why Hokko Life has been hailed as “Animal Crossing but on PC”, The gameplay is very similar to the latter and despite still being early access, the game already looks very promising for AC fans. However, do take note that the game has a really laidback pace, and if you expect to blaze through the content, you might want to look elsewhere.
Home Street
Home Street is a fun life simulation game that may bring to mind games like The Sims FreePlay and The Sims Mobile. In this game, you can be your ideal self and set up your own dream home in a vibrant town filled with quirky characters of varying personalities. You can decorate your place however you like with hundreds of designer items, cool gadgets, and cute decorative goodies. The same goes for your avatar as well - you are free to tout any sort of fashion style you wish! To fund the lifestyle you want, you'll need to get a job in this game, but you are free to choose who you want to be based on the talents and skills you unlock.Of course, being a life sim, having a sense of community is important and as such, you can join any one of the many Neighborhoods in the game so you can chat with friends in real-time, and participate in fun yet challenging Neighborhood competitions and events. Unlike many other life sims though, this game provides you the opportunity to learn more about the characters that you can interact with in the game. In some way, this makes the game feel a bit like the Suburbia games on Facebook albeit a bit less mysterious and well, "murder-y".
Home Street has gotten the attention of tens of thsaounds of players from all around the world and that happened for a very good reason - it is simply a very good game to play... especially if you have a penchant for life sims.
