Horizon Source vs Radical Heights
Horizon Source
Horizon Source is a battle royale game that many have dubbed as being the ultimate blend of PUBG, Fortnite and Overwatch... though graphics-wise, Fortnite is definitely the major influence. Similar to most games in the genre, you'll be dropped into a map where you'll then battle against other players in hopes of ending up being the last man standing. You can also build structures much like in Fortnite and resources are pretty much plentiful in the game. The gameplay feels a lot better as well - expect to be rewarded with more kills for having a good aim. However, unlike the others, this game only has a 4-man team-based game mode so you can't really play the game solo as of yet. There are other game modes as well, including a zombie mode, but these aren't ready so far. Interestingly, the game also gives you the option of playing in first or third person view. Naturally, playing in third-person can be more advantageous to you since you can see your surroundings better. There are no drivable vehicles in this game though.
Despite the many random bugs, lack of an EU server, some character balancing issue, and broken English, Horizon Source seems to be a real contender on PC against established battle royale titles like PUBG and Fortnite. The game can be incredibly addictive and fun to play. So, if you enjoy playing battle royale games, Horizon Source is a game you'll want to try!
Radical Heights
Radical Heights is a brand-new, over-the-top, free-to-play battle royale game with a funky 80s theme. Featuring a premise that mimics that of The Culling, the game is set in a domed "fake city" constructed solely for the high-stakes game show that you are a participant in. In this game show, participants will need to battle each other for access to better weapons, gadgets, awesome cosmetics, and, of course, cash while trying to avoid dying in the process. If you survived to the very end, you'll be declared the winner of the game show and will be showered with virtual fame and fortune. In addition to its fiery third-person gunplay, players will also get to travel around the map and battle their rivals on epic BMX bikes. However, unlike Fortnite Battle Royale, you can't build stuff in this game.
Granted that Radical Heights is still in its VERY early access and hence, there is still plenty of stuff that needs to be tweaked and fixed, you can still get a pretty good idea of the game's potential in being one of the better battle royale games on PC. You can also get involved in the game's development and give the developers feedback as you play.
