Iron Marines vs Supreme Commander
Iron Marines
Iron Marines offers an addicting strategy space odyssey as you strengthen up your defenses and launch tactical offenses in an epic storyline with a hint of humor.Developed by the very people behind the breakout tower defense game, Kingdom Rush, Ironhide Studios, this game brings 14 challenging campaign missions based on two unique out-of-the-box worlds in which you will have to build your base, train your troops, manage resources and form the perfect strategy to defeat armies of evil bosses. You also get to play 10 special operations with their own combat rules along with an Impossible mode if you are up for the challenge. Moreover, the game features nine heroes with special upgradable abilities and a wide range of military units for you to manage and deploy.
Put your strategic tower defense skills to the test and manage your space bases in an epic planetary world in Iron Marines.
Supreme Commander
Supreme Commander is an excellent spiritual successor to the popular strategic game, Total Annihilation. Set in a futuristic world and a futuristic war between three factions, the game lets you dive into the turning point in the war where only one faction can emerge as the victor. The gameplay emphasizes strongly on strategic planning and thinking ahead as you'll not only need to amass an offensive force to take out your enemies; you'll also need to build up your base's defenses in order to repel invading armies.Aside from its abandoned multiplayer mode, the most unfortunate thing about this game though is that there isn't a speed up option so most of the processes in the game are incredibly slow. Even the movement of your vehicles is slow. So, unless you have hours after hours to spend, Supreme Commander might not appeal to you as much - you might want to try its sequel instead.
