My Tamagotchi Forever vs Pet Society
My Tamagotchi Forever
My Tamagotchi Forever is a virtual pet game from Bandai Namco that dates back 20 years. Bringing back the joy of keeping an adorable virtual pet on a device that you can carry around with you, this game is set to evoke the same feelings albeit with superior graphics, a wider variety of Tamagotchis to raise, and tons of cute customizations you can apply to your little pet.Taking care of your virtual pet has always been the highlight of the game, and it is no different in this game. To ensure the well-being of your virtual pet, you'll be expected to feed it, give it baths, and even play mini-games with it. You can try tickling it as well! Depending on the care you provide, your Tamagotchi may eventually evolve into very different forms and you may never know what your Tamagotchi may turn into next!
There's also a quaint little town called Tamatown where your Tamagotchi can meet and make friends with the many other game characters. Make memories with them and collect your photos into your album. You can even decorate the town with a variety of colorful items.
My Tamagotchi Forever may prey on your 90s nostalgia but it is done in a good way. After all, we finally got a free-to-play version of Tamagotchi after a 20-year "hiatus"!
Pet Society
Pet Society is a fun pet-based social game where you not only get to customize your own pet avatar, but also decorate your very own virtual home. The game also encourages you to visit and interact with your friends through the game's many different animations or by simply sending a gift. The most intereting part though is that the game has some really addictive mini-games including a competitive running game where you'll need to make use of speed boosts and avoid obstacles (banana peels); a farm where you can grow massively-sized fruits and veggies, and also use these food items (even cupcakes) to fish for and collect a wide variety of odd-looking fishes.Pet Society was one of the most popular games on Facebook and was played by hundreds of thousands of players from all over the world. However, the game had to be shut down by EA Games (Playfish, the original developer of the game, was acquired by EA) as they have to reallocate their resources elsewhere.
That said, you can check out our list of games like Pet Society for similar games to play. None of them are exactly like Pet Society especially when it's at its peak, but we have plenty of fun alternative games to offer.
