2048 vs Balls
2048
2048 is a pretty unique puzzle game that has literally gone viral last year mainly because of its easy-to-pick-up gameplay and yet it is incredibly difficult - i.e. requires a lot of strategic thinking - in order to be really good at. Unlike other 2048 games out there, you can decide how big your playing grid is in this one. There's even a scoring system which is what most people will share proudly on their social media pages whenever they reached a new high score.Due to its meteoric rise to popularity, the game has inspired a lot of clones on the mobile platform with some games that drastically made the game concept something uniquely their own with plenty of additional fun features and game rules.
It's just incredible to see how such a simple game can take the world by storm, by 2048 somehow managed to do so. If you're into puzzle games, this is one game that you can easily try on your browser without much hustle. But be warned! You'd better set aside some free time for this game because it will pull you in like a black hole and like a black hole, you'll feel as though time must be wrong and that hours have not just passed you by when you finally emerged from its addictive grasp.
Balls
Balls is a fun 5-games-in-1 type of puzzle game where you can not only enjoy the fun brick-breaking action like in Ballz, but also a range of other fun games like the Lineup game mode which is basically Tetris but with a really innovative twist. There is also a CatchCup mode where you'll need to "level up" the cups by catching as many marbles as you can. The interesting thing about this mode is that you have a set number of marbles and every marble you dropped onto the table will not be restored to you. So, as you play, you'll slowly and literally lose your marbles! The Occupy mode is another game mode that's pretty unique but can be quite challenging to score high in. In this mode, you'll basically be creating your own "bricks" to break via a bubble shooter-styled gameplay, but the trick here is to make sure the ball never touches the bottom line. The "bricks" you make and break will also balloon up if you shoot them towards an area with lots of space and thus, taking up vital space that you'll need to shoot your balls.
In many ways, I personally enjoy playing this game more than Ketchapp's Ballz mainly because it has other equally interesting game modes for me to enjoy. So, if you love puzzle games, Balls is a game you should definitely try.
