Age of War is a strategy game that has a gameplay that may bring to mind tower defense games albeit in a 2D format. The premise of this game is simple really - all you have to do is to defend your base and send troops to destroy the enemy's base. There are tons of upgrades and even turrets that you can eventually build, but the most interesting part of the game is the fact that you can advance through 5 different ages and naturally, the higher age you are, the better troops and turrets you'll have access to. Company of Heroes

Company of Heroes is the rare few World War-themed games that managed to let you experience the intensity of war and the heroic sacrifices that had to be made through the eyes of a soldier. You can play the role of a brave Allied lieutenant leading your own squad of soldiers in the game's single-player campaign or you can join the multiplayer battle between Axis and Allies (up to 8 players) by choosing a team to play as. The game also features destructible environments (you can reshape the battlefield as needed), some historical accounts about the war you'll be fighting in, and a unique strategic gameplay.
