Age of War is a strategy game that has a gameplay that may bring to mind tower defense games albeit in a 2D format. The premise of this game is simple really - all you have to do is to defend your base and send troops to destroy the enemy's base. There are tons of upgrades and even turrets that you can eventually build, but the most interesting part of the game is the fact that you can advance through 5 different ages and naturally, the higher age you are, the better troops and turrets you'll have access to. Warcraft is perhaps the game that started it all. Here you get to pick from 2 sides, the Humans and the Orcs. Battle for the world of Azeroth as the 2 factions vie for dominance. Play through the campaign for each faction and experience the whole game as you see their stories and leaders develop.

Here you have to manage your resources to build your town up and then create your army. Use a variety of units to take to the battlefield including Demons, Undead and Chivalric Knights. Introducing one of the first truly multiplayer RTS games this was groundbreaking for its time and has continued to be a popular franchise.
