The gameplay in this game is quite similar to The Settlers Online where you need to strategically build your empire and trade the resources you get with other players. The sole exception between these two games is Anno Online's famous, grid-based naval battles.In some way, Anno Online is a more historically accurate version of The Settlers Online where the goal is not to annihilate your opponents but to manage your kingdom well and help it to grow. Seas of Gold is a very interesting naval-themed browser MMORPG in which players get to embark on an epic adventure across the seven seas of the world in search of adventure, conflict, and of course to sweet, sweet plunder! The game plays out a bit like other seafaring MMOs including Pirate Storm - there are quests to complete, sea creatures to slay, and instances to clear. There is even a PvP aspect, allowing players to come up with creative strategies to make use of their environment and ambush their opponent. Like most R2's games, there are plenty of events to keep you engaged even after you've had your share of looting and slaying.Although the game may not win any award in the "best-looking game" category, Seas of Gold is still a decent and fun MMORPG that lets you play as a dashing captain of a magnificent ship, sailing across the seven seas.
