Battlefield 3 is the sequel where EA games truly opt to focus on enhancing its multiplayer gameplay rather than trying to go the route of Counter Strike or Call of Duty. Here, you have complete and total freedom to fight the way you like. There are nine massive multiplayer maps of varying terrains for you to battle in, a wide variety of vehicles, weapons and gadgets to improve you combat capability, as well as a ton of unlockables.

The most interesting part of this installment though is that there are now four unique player classes, namely Assault, Engineer, Support and Recon. Each of these classes have their own roles to play in the team and only by working together will the team be able to achieve victory.

Due to the classes, Battlefield 3 may feel a bit restricted to some players, but in a way, it's good because at least players will know which role they need to play as opposed to trying to do everything at once. It's a nice change and if you think so as well, you might want to give the game a try. Team-based Military PvP Tanks First Person Ships Airplanes Multiplayer War Games Like War Rock

War Rock

War Rock is a fairly decent free-to-play military-themed MMOFPS title that may look a bit old-school but is still pretty exciting to play. Thanks to the vast majority of game modes that can either be PvP focused or against AIs in PvE, the game is still going strong until this day and age. In terms of gameplay, it’s what you would except of your typical FPS, with a few changes here and there spread out across the board to make it a little more interesting for players to stick around. Let’s just say this, if you enjoy big-head mode in games, you’re going to love War Rock because there is plenty of that!

While we do feel War Rock is worth a shot, the game is still pretty old-school and well, there are definitely a lot more (and better) F2P MMOFPS games out there if you just look hard enough for them. That said, if you love old-school, Counter Strike-like shooters, you may love this game. Military PvP eSports Tanks Zombies
