Counter-Strike is one of the the pioneers of the team-based multiplayer, action-shooter game genre and it is thanks to these games that we now have games like Combat Arms or even Blacklight. That said, you probably have heard of Counter-Strike so I'll keep this simple. The game places you into a team - either as Terrorists or Counter-Terrorists - before the match and your team will be given an objective to do, be it taking out enemy sites, rescue hostages or simply taking out the other team. For the "vanilla" version of Counter-Strike, the multiplayer community is pretty nice overall and definitely not as toxic as in the latest installment.

However, the graphics can be rather painfully outdated in this game. So, unless you are feeling nostalgic or if you don't really mind old graphics, then Counter-Strike might just be the game for you. Competitive Team-based Military PvP eSports First Person Multiplayer Games Like Heroes Evolved

Heroes Evolved

Heroes Evolved is a relatively unknown MOBA game - especially in this day and age where almost every gamer know what League of Legends and DotA 2 are. However, this shouldn't discourage you from experiencing the unique gameplay that this game has to offer. Fundamentally, the concept of the game is still the same old creep-killing and tower-pushing mechanics, but the few yet significant features added make a whole lot of difference. The game also has a ton of heroes that you can collect and play as, each having their own roles to play in a match, be it as a tanker, a carry or a ganker.

The best thing about Heroes Evolved is the less intense atmosphere, making it much less stressful for newcomers to experience the game and the genre without getting flamed within minutes of playing a match. Not to mention, the pace of the game is somewhat casual as well so if you can no longer afford pouring hours into LoL or DotA 2, well... this game is here for you. Though, if you want to be competitive, this game also has a couple of competitive eSports-worthy tournaments throughout the year.

We'd say that Heroes Evolved is an excellent "more casual" alternative for both avid MOBA players and even new players who are trying out the genre for the first time. Competitive PvP eSports MOBA Fantasy
