Doom follows the footsteps of its revolutionary predecessor, the game that had pioneered the genre of first person shooters. Returned to the limelight with as much gore as before, this new and greatly enhanced version of Doom guarantees hours after hours of fun either in single player (with multiple game modes) or multiplayer mode as players mow down endless waves of demons with insanely destructive guns in intense, fast-paced and heartpounding action. The multiplayer mode in this game is a whole lot more entertaining as players can now opt to play either as Doom marines or as demons in an epic arena-styled clash to the death.

The best part though is definitely the Doom SnapMap, a level editor which allows players, for the first time ever, to easily create their own adventures and even game modes, and share them for all to enjoy. This literally offers limitless gameplay for both the creators and the players alike.

The Doom franchise is one of the most iconic shooters of all time and have paved the way to the many epic shooters that we get to play today. This latest resurrection of Doom definitely pays homage to the timeless classic and also give modern-day shooters a nod of respect as to how far they have come. Half Life is the first game in the famous Half Life series that has gained a certain amount of infamy among gamers mainly because Valve has refused their fans' request to create a Half Life 3. That being said, the game itself is pretty old - released back in 1998 - and it was a shining gem of a game back in its time because of its amaing gameplay and engaging storyline. Unlike any other games in the 90s, Half Life manages to combine action and adventure along with a what-was-back-then a realistic world into one amazing package. The game also has a multiplayer mode that turns the game's many maps into arenas for you to play against your friends.

Half Life is one of "those games" that almost every gamer (midcore and above) would at least have heard of before. It's as classic as classic games go. If you enjoy old-school games, Half Life is probably one of the first few games you'd want to play. Sci-Fi First Person
