Fable: The Lost Chapters

Fable: The Lost Chapters is one of the most groundbreaking adventure RPG back in the day. Why was it so unique? Well, the game is designed with one major concept in mind - your every action in the game, including which dialogue options you chose and even how you treat people, will affect your reputation, which in turn will change the skills you have access to and also your character's appearance (like a reverse Dorian Gray) as he ages or collect scars from battling enemies. So, in other words, the character development is beyond impressive. The game doesn't really penalize you for your actions though, but there are consequences for every good or bad actions that you do and these consequences will affect the world around you, giving you the sort of freedom that was pretty much unheard of back then.

In some way, Fable can be regarded as a legend-creator - a game in which you can literally craft your own legend by forging your own path. It also has a rather whimsical tone to it, making the adventures you embark on fun and lighthearted. Of course, there are plenty of exciting storylines to uncover and hidden secrets for you to find as well.

Fable is one of the most popular RPG series of all time and if you love RPGs, this is definitely one game you'll want to get (or maybe you can get the Fable Anniversary Edition instead - despite its flaws, it does have better graphics).

Red Dead Redemption

Red Dead Redemption is, as many called it, the defining game of the previous generation of consoles. Set in wild, wild west of 1911, you, playing as former outlaw John Marston, was forced to head back into the cradle of crime when a federal agents threatened your family. His goal? To hunt down the gang of criminals he once called friends and to hopefully and finally bury the hatchet of his blood-stained past. There are plenty of cover-based gun-slinging in this game, in addition to some fun mini-games prevalent back in the era, including blackjack and poker. You'll also need to do some odd jobs to make ends meet from time to time, which mostly involve hunting down animals and people alike. The replayability in this game is pretty sufficient as well since the game offers challenges and unique stranger missions aside from the main, story-driven quests.

Red Dead Redemption has been hailed as one of the best Western-themed game of all time and we couldn't agree more. If you own a console and love wild west, you might want to check this game out!
