Gift of Parthax vs Mortal Kombat X
Gift of Parthax
Gift of Parthax is a 2D action arcade-arena game that's set in a world where there's a conflict between magic and non-magical users in the kingdom of Duredyll, resulting in a massive civil war. Two best friends, Arif and Veleus, were caught right in the middle and in their haste to escape, they, unfortunately, got themselves captured by agents of Duredyll and thrown in prison. Veleus was eventually released only to be sent straight to the grand arena to fight (and die) for the amusement of the spectators. He fought valiantly but was eventually fell by a powerful spell, and ended up in a coma, barely hanging onto life.In hopes of saving his friend, Arif broke out of prison and headed to the arena where Veleus has fallen, intending to fight his way through the top and challenge the reigning champion, Parthax. Parthax has a very special gift that can save Veleus' life but Arif will have to wrestle it from his dead body!
Aside from the fantastic storyline, this game features a fun yet intense gameplay where you'll need to constantly be on the move and avoid projectiles and danger areas on the ground. It also has an amazingly in-depth spell customization system, allowing you to create the spell that suits your play style through the use of Runes.
Gift of Parthax is, without a doubt, an amazing game that will definitely appeal to fans of shoot 'em ups/ arcade-style fighting games!
Mortal Kombat X
Mortal Kombat X is the latest installment of a game franchise that's basically a spiritual sucessor of combos-based action, fighting games like Street Fighter. As opposed to the previous game, Mortal Kombat X offers a whole new generation of fighters; immersive graphics; impressive new "skins", some of which are classics; well-designed scenarios and a multiplayer mode that provides players with a variety of fun game modes. However, the multiplayer server might get a hiccup or two from time to time and as a result, you may find yourself disconnected from your matches. Because of the drastically upgraded graphics as well you may need a more pwoerful machine to run the game on or you'll experience terrible frame rates. That aside, Mortal Kombat X is definitely a brilliant and worthy addition to the Mortal Kombat series. It is simply the more superior version of the previous in so many ways. So, if you enjoy a good fighting game, this is definitely the game you'll want to get.
