Guitar Hero Live vs SuperStar JYPNATION
Guitar Hero Live
Guitar Hero Live is the Guitar Hero that Activision came up with after a long 5-year hiatus in the series. Featuring a recorded "live" audience, this game brings you a lot closer to actually being on stage playing to a crowd than ever before. In addition, your bandmates will react as they play alongside you as well. Try the game's first-person view and you'll get to feel like one of the band members as you play! One of the hallmarks of the Guitar Hero series, aside from its iconic guitar controller, is the insane music variety. From Ed Sheeran to System of a Down, to even indie bands, you can find a ton of your favorite songs to strum your plastic guitar to in this game. The game also has a multiplayer feature called Rivals where you can have a showdown with another player online. The best part about this game though is the Guitar Hero TV (GHTV). This allows your friends to enjoy the music video which is live-streamed in the background as you play to the music.
Playing music in front of what supposedly is a live audience is very different from playing for the sake of getting a perfect combo score. This is exactly the experience that Guitar Hero Live is trying to provide through its gameplay and it did a really great job of it.
SuperStar JYPNATION
SuperStar JYPNATION is another one of Dalcomsoft's brilliant rhythmic action games where you will need to tap along to the tunes of your favorite Korean singers. This time around, you'll be jamming to the artists and bands from the huge Korean entertainment company, JYP Entertainment. This includes 48+ songs from artists and bands like Wonder Girls, 2AM, 2PM, TWICE, and more... up to 10 in total. Each song has up to 3 difficulties for you to pit your skills against, and if you don't like beating your own high scores, you can try beating other people's scores in weekly leagues. Who knows? You may even be listed among the top-ranked players on the Global Best Record leaderboard for every song in the game!
Similar to any game within the SuperStar series, you'll also get to collect tons of cards featuring your favorite Korean celebrities from JYP Entertainment. These cards aren't just for show though - they can be used to bolster your abilities in a game. The cards can even be enhanced so you can get more points.
If you are a fan of Korean music and/or of the SuperStar game series by Dalcomsoft, you'll definitely want to try this game. It's as fun as the other games they have produced so far, but being able to jam to your favorite JYP Nation artists is certainly a very nice cherry on top!
