Half Life is the first game in the famous Half Life series that has gained a certain amount of infamy among gamers mainly because Valve has refused their fans' request to create a Half Life 3. That being said, the game itself is pretty old - released back in 1998 - and it was a shining gem of a game back in its time because of its amaing gameplay and engaging storyline. Unlike any other games in the 90s, Half Life manages to combine action and adventure along with a what-was-back-then a realistic world into one amazing package. The game also has a multiplayer mode that turns the game's many maps into arenas for you to play against your friends.

Half Life is one of "those games" that almost every gamer (midcore and above) would at least have heard of before. It's as classic as classic games go. Rise of the Triad was one of the best cult-classic of its era and now, the younger generation (along with the old) will get to enjoy this timeless first-person shooter game once again in this brilliant improved yet stoically-original version. In this game, you'll get to step into the shoes of the High-Risk United Nations Taskforce (or H.U.N.T. for short) as you blast your way through levels of non-stop, gory-filled action, gunning down enemies left and right as they come at you. Each level is also filled with secret niches and collectibles for you to find, and of course, who can forget the game's iconic original soundtrack... which has been reworked with elements of heavy metal to make it even more intense than before.

With better graphics and an overall improved experience well-suited for the modern gamer, Rise of the Triad will be able to attract new players into its fold with its intriguing storyline and fun gameplay, while retaining enough of the original to give older players a nostalgic journey as they replayed one of their favorite games back in the day.
