Horizon Source vs Rocket Royale
Horizon Source
Horizon Source is a battle royale game that many have dubbed as being the ultimate blend of PUBG, Fortnite and Overwatch... though graphics-wise, Fortnite is definitely the major influence. Similar to most games in the genre, you'll be dropped into a map where you'll then battle against other players in hopes of ending up being the last man standing. You can also build structures much like in Fortnite and resources are pretty much plentiful in the game. The gameplay feels a lot better as well - expect to be rewarded with more kills for having a good aim. However, unlike the others, this game only has a 4-man team-based game mode so you can't really play the game solo as of yet. There are other game modes as well, including a zombie mode, but these aren't ready so far. Interestingly, the game also gives you the option of playing in first or third person view. Naturally, playing in third-person can be more advantageous to you since you can see your surroundings better. There are no drivable vehicles in this game though.
Despite the many random bugs, lack of an EU server, some character balancing issue, and broken English, Horizon Source seems to be a real contender on PC against established battle royale titles like PUBG and Fortnite. The game can be incredibly addictive and fun to play. So, if you enjoy playing battle royale games, Horizon Source is a game you'll want to try!
Rocket Royale
Rocket Royale is a battle royale mobile game that has a gameplay that's really similar to Fortnite: Battle Royale but with a nice little twist. Set in a dying world, you'll be competing with 99 other players on an island to survive. However, unlike many other battle royale games, everyone in this game potentially can "win" the game simply by collecting enough materials and supplies to build a rocket to escape the island. Of course, you could also play the devil's advocate and stop other players from building their rockets just so you can be the last person standing. As mentioned, this game is similar to Fortnite's Battle Royale mode mainly because players can choose to use the materials they've gathered to build covers and shelters instead of a rocket and hopefully end up getting that coveted victory royale. Interestingly though, the game includes portals, allowing players to quickly move from one place to another on the vast map. There are plenty of weapons, over 20 of them in fact, for you to find scattered across the map as well.
Rocket Royale brings a nice twist to the generic battle royale gameplay, giving everyone a chance to "win" so to speak. However, whether or not you can make it out of the island alive, well... that remains to be seen!
